We prepare Methi & Dink (gond) laddus traditionally by adding jaggery & kharik ( dry date) powder. In this winder try this healthy, delicious & easy version of laddus !!
Ingredients :
Ragi flour : 1 cup
Whole wheat flour : 1/2 cup
Roasted oats powder : 1/4 cup
Roasted Methi powder : 3 tsp ( If you like more bitterness add more methi powder)
Fried & coarsely powdered Dink ( gond ) : 3 tsp ( optional )
Desi Ghee : 6 tbsp
Chopped Seedless dates or de seeded : 1 cup
Black raisins : 4 tsp
Golden raisins : 4 tsp
Chopped cashews : 2 tsp
Roasted Coarse almond powder : 2 tsp
Honey : 4 tbsp
Elaichi Powder (Green Cardamom) : 1 tsp
Recipe :
- Add 1 tsp desi ghee in a kadhai or heavy bottom pan. Fry dink to puff & then keep aside. Prepare coarse powder when it cools down.
- In the same pan add 2 tsp desi ghee & ragi flour. Roast it thoroughly till a nice aroma comes out. It turn dark brown colour. Mix it with dink powder.
- In the same way roast whole wheat flour & oats powder in 1 tsp desi ghee. Mix with above mixture.
- Roast methi powder in 1/2 tsp of desi ghee & mix in above mixture.
- In the same pan add chopped date with 1 tsp desi ghee. Turn on gas stove & roast only for 1-2 minutes or you can microwave for 30 sec. Dates should turn soft. Prepare smooth dough with the help of hands & mix it in above mixture.
- Let it cool completely.
- Add honey,dry fruits, remaining ghee ( dissolved ) & elaichi powder. Mix all the ingredients properly.
- Roll the laddus as per size you want & enjoy !!
Note : If you want more sweetness add some jaggery (making it soft) in the laddu mixture.
